Standards to be met by assistants who want to renew

Quantitative Results:

1.OUTSIDE THE CLASS
1.1.COMMUNICATION WITH TEACHERS BEFORE THE CLASS

The assistant responds promptly to messages sent by the teacher with confirmation they have read and understood what they should do in the lesson.

The assistant responds in time but they never comment or ask any questions about the planning.

The assistant takes too long to respond to the messages and if/when they do, it's simply confirming receipt of the message.

1.2.PUNCTUALITY
1
The assistant is always on time and ready for the class.

The assistant has been once or twice late for the class.

The assistant has been more than two times late for the class.

1.3.MISSING DAYS

The assistant has missed no classes unless required for other tasks.

The assistant has missed too many classes but it was well-justified.

The assistant has missed too many classes and the justification didn't seem very solid.

1.4.COMMUNICATION WITH THE TEACHER AFTER THE CLASS

The assistant usually gives feedback about the session to the teacher.

The assistant never comments on the session unless asked directly.

The assistant takes a long time to respond with the demanded feedback.

2.INSIDE THE CLASS
2.1.INTONATION, PACE, BODY LANGUAGE

The assistant speaks loudly and clearly with proper intonation and diction and at an appropriate speed. They make constant eye-contact and their body language helps convey their message.

The assistant fails to fulfill one or two of these criteria making it more difficult to be understood.

The assistant finds it hard to convey their message to the students as they fail in more than two of the criteria.

2.2.MATERIALS

The materials brought to the class are suitable for the lesson and spark students' interest. The assistant uploads the new materials to the drive.

The materials often fall too short or too long or are not attractive enough for the students. The assistant uploads the new material to the drive when asked by the teacher.

The materials do not meet the specifications outlined by the teacher. The assistant keeps forgetting to upload the new material to the drive.

2.3.TEACHING SKILLS WITHIN THE CLASS

The assistant connects with students and is able to encourage discussion among them by asking the right questions and having an active disposition in the class.

The assistant follows the script given by the teacher well but fails to spice up the class through their own background.

The assistant fails to connect with students and does not add much to the class.

The assistant always tries to correct spoken or written mistakes of any kind.

2.5.TEACHING SKILLS WITH A GROUP OF STUDENTS
